School Kit Drive

Why A School Kit?

While the idea of the distribution of a school kit might seem trivial and insignificant to many, but the benefits of this simple gesture go a long way, like:-

  • Instills a sense of attending a formal institution for education.
  • Reduces the drop-out rates.
  • Access to books and stationery develops interest and engages children in learning various subjects.
  • Helps the parents become more serious about their child’s education due to its formalization.

Volunteer

Sewa International invites volunteers to come forward and support various initiatives by volunteering with us.

What goes inside our School Bag ?

  • 6 Notebooks (100 pages)
  • 1 Drawing Pad
  • Geometry Box (5th to 8th) (compass, divider, eraser, set square, ruler, pencil, protractor )
  • Pencil Box for class (1st to 5th) (2 pencils, ruler, eraser, sharpener, wax color)

Plan for 2018-19

Enthused by the amazing response and feedback of the local Sewa teams, SISGO from Oman has decided to increase their contributions. This year they are planning to contribute more than 4 times i.e. around 6000 school kits, which would be available for Sewa International projects worldwide (including Nepal). This is indeed a great moment for us to celebrate and thank our donors for their generous contribution.
