  • Winter Clothes Distribution

As per the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), it has been the third worst cold weather spell in Delhi in twenty-three years. On account of the particularly cold temperatures prevailing in the current winter season, Sewa International in collaboration with NGO Chetna organized a Winter Clothes Distribution event at Ambedkar Basti, Jhandewalan, Karolbagh, New Delhi on 29th January 2023.

A second distribution event was organized at the Prayas Children Home in EE Block Jahangirpuri on 2nd February. Prayas is an organization taking care of street children for their health, food, shelter and education. The locations of Sector 16 Noida Metro Station and Village Sadarpur in Sector 45 Noida were covered on 31st January. Sewa team carried out the drive, especially in the wee hours around 1:00 am and found random people as well as families sleeping out in the open in the bitter winter cold of Delhi braving the weather conditions. Team members at once reached out and distributed blankets and woollen caps to the neediest beneficiaries.
