Sewa Bharati launches Rehabilitation programme
Sarsanghchalak of RSS Shri K. S. Sudarshan, laid the foundation stone for reconstruction of the
village Mitha Pasvalia near Bhuj on 17th April 2001, wherein 157 residential houses will be
constructed. The other structures planned in the village will a school building, a hospital,
Village Panchayat office, water storage tank, a temple, a library and some other. The scheme
will cost Rs.30 Million.
While speaking on the occasion Shri Sudarshan emphasized that "the ultimate goal of the
reconstruction should be creating an ideal village with employment to all and a healthy
family life." He also stressed the need for developing indigenous technology such as organic
manure and dairy.
The local villagers and the President of the Panchayat expressed their faith in Sewa Bharati
Gujrat in constructing the houses well in time and the villagers are prepared to cooperate in
the construction.
Mitha Pasvalia village might be the first to be reconstructed by any organisation after the
earthquake.
