Sevabharati, AP is a Registered NGO for Western A.P Based in Hyderabad, with a wide reach in Telangana, Rayalaseema districts and is running a number of activities. Here is a brief profile in figures

As part of continuing this service Sevabharati intends to take up TB Eradication project. SEVABHARATI has taken up on its own a TB Control project for 50 patients in Medak town with the help of local donors. It is still Encouraging to inform you that each of the donors gave Rs. 2,500/-.

SEVABHARATI now is ambitious to serve all the Telangana and Rayalaseema districts supported by its reach. This W.H.O project has been successfully taken up with the active help of Dr. M.M.V.Prasad Sharma, and since Dr. Sharma is a Swayamsevak and actively involved in the activities of Sevabharati.

We intend to serve the below districts

We are confident of working in this direction.

Through our service, we resolve,

  1. To instill a sense of confidence in the hearts of our suffering brethren

  2. To bring education and health care to the neglected and the poor at their door steps

  3. To initiate spirit of service for strengthening the lives of the suffering people

  4. To inculcate Samskaras in the neglected and kindle their desire to become part of the national mainstream.

As part of nationwide network of about 25,000 service activities, the Seva Bharati, AP with its activity spread over Telangana and Rayalaseema districts is running the following projects.

           Destitute homes for 250 children like Vatsalya Sindhu for boys and Vaidehi Ashram    for      girls in the twin cities.

100 single Teacher Schools located in interior tribal and most backward areas where literacy is at a very low level. Adoption of schools by donors is a special feature of this project. This is an important step in bringing literacy essentially to the neglected children.

300 Balasamskara Kendras and Coaching Centers are also run at various places. A big voluntary effort by people drawn from all walks of life is behind this effort. Imparting Samskaras is the most striking feature of Seva Bharati where we stand different from others.

Medical Aid : A ten bed hospital in Gokavaram, Atmakoor Taluq, Kurnool district is running with the help of Philanthropist Sri G. Pulla Reddy. It has rendered medical service to 16,000 patients so far in the last year. Medical aid program includes the following aims :

 

  1. To strive for the basic health necessities for the economically poor people.

  2. To strive for the complete eradication of TB, POLIO, MALARIA etc.

  3. Conducting medical Conferences, Symposia, Mobile Medical Van etc.

  4. To Organise Health Centers in urban slums and Villages.

  5. To Organise any Governmental assisted Health Schemes in the District

  6. Sevabharathi shall provide necessary facilities for medical care of rural public

  7. SEVABHARATI shall endevour to provide facilities for preventive, promotive Health Care, for Medical Research and Development for the clinical surgical, psychiatric, Maternity and Child Welfare and social and occupational Rehabilitation services.

  8. To throw open the above mentioned services through the SEVABHARATI for the use of all members of public without descrmination of caste, or creed or religion.

9. Sevabharati may also provide from time to time through or in the Hospital any other services of facilities or the Sevabharati may in collaboration with any other medical or other institution and bodies provide such service or facility as may in their view, advance or improve the medical and health knowledge attention, care, treatment and rehabilitation available to help rural and as well as urban slums needed public.

10. For achieving above objects and aims of SEVABHARATI may invite and receive voluntary contribution and donations from the members, public or from any institution, organisations.

Women Welfare Center : These centers will give special training in Sewing, hand crafts health education, painting, music and financial management for the development of women in urban as well as rural places. All together Seva Bharati is running 10 such centers in various places.

Thrift Program : 10 self help groups with a saving of 7 lakhs of rupees for the timely assistance to the needy within the village is also a part of self help motivation effort.

Rural Development : 23 villages from all the districts of Telangana and Rayalaseema have been adopted for comprehensive rural development under the active banner of Grama Bharathi.

Grama Bharathi is a rural service wing of Seva Bharati working for the integrated development of Rural Areas and People. At least one village is selected from each district for this purpose and programs are conducted, so that the village is transformed into an ideal village, in a phased manner, in about 5 years. At present 10 such villages are there in 7 districts. These villages have their development committees. The activities are mainly on village Health, Character building, Education, Swavalamban and Sanghatan.

Sanjeevini Mobile Clinic : This is a mobile van taking home the message "Doctor to the door step". It serves 11 urban slums with population of around 5 lakhs all poor and neglected. Sanjeevini distributes medicines worth Rs. 25,000/- a month free of cost to the needy.
